“You’ve been gone a long time,” the second rider said respectfully.

Then he turned toward the others.

“This man founded our first chapter.”

For a moment, nobody spoke.

The biker who had blocked the entrance stared at the elderly man in disbelief.

The visitor hadn’t come looking for recognition. He hadn’t arrived wearing expensive clothes or demanding special treatment. He had simply returned to a place connected to a chapter of his younger life.

Years earlier, he had helped bring together the original group of riders. What had started as a few friends sharing an interest in motorcycles eventually became a community that continued long after he stepped away from it.

Some of the newer members had never met him.

But they were benefiting from something he had helped create.

The biker’s attitude immediately softened.

“I was wrong,” he admitted. “I’m sorry.”
