Evelyn Carrington looked at him.

"My boy."

He stepped backward.

"You lied to me."

"Yes."

"You let me believe you were dead."

"I needed everyone to believe that."

"You manipulated my family."

"I protected it."

Evan shook his head.

"You destroyed it."

Evelyn looked at Naomi.

"Perhaps."

Naomi walked toward her.

"Did you betray my grandmother?"

Evelyn's eyes filled with tears.

"No."

"Then what happened?"

Evelyn looked toward Michael.

"Jonathan discovered our company."

She continued.

"He wanted control."

"We refused."

"So he threatened us."

Naomi listened.

"Then why didn't you stop him?"

"Because he controlled the board."

Evelyn's voice became quieter.

"He controlled the banks."

She looked at Evan.

"He controlled the lawyers."

Then at Naomi.

"And he controlled the police."

Naomi understood.

"So you and Eleanor pretended to become enemies."

"Yes."

"You allowed everyone to believe the Carrington family stole everything."

"We had no choice."

Michael interrupted.

"We had another choice."

Evelyn looked at him.

"We could have fought."

"And died."

The words were cold.

Michael looked away.

Naomi stepped between them.

"What about my grandmother?"

Evelyn's face softened.

"Eleanor spent the last years of her life trying to rebuild what Jonathan destroyed."

"Did she hate you?"

"No."

"Did she forgive you?"

"She never blamed me."

Naomi looked down.

"What about Jonathan?"

"He died believing he had won."

Evelyn smiled sadly.

"He was wrong."

She opened her handbag.

Inside was a document.

"The original ownership agreement."

Naomi took it.

Her eyes widened.

The company belonged equally to Eleanor and Evelyn.

Jonathan had never legally owned it.

Evan stared at the document.

"Then Carrington Holdings..."

"Was built on the profits from that company."

Naomi looked at him.

"Everything?"

"Not everything."

Evelyn shook her head.

"But enough."

The truth was overwhelming.

Evelyn continued.

"When Eleanor died, I wanted to reveal everything."

"Why didn't you?"

"Because I was dying."

Evan looked at her.

"You don't look..."

She smiled.

"I have been ill for years."

Naomi remained silent.

Evelyn continued.

"I needed someone young enough to rebuild the company."

She looked at Naomi.

"And someone who had no connection to the old power structure."

Naomi understood.

"Me."

"Yes."

Evelyn looked at Evan.

"And you."

He frowned.

"Why me?"

"Because you are not your grandfather."

Evan looked away.

"You don't know that."

"I do."

Evelyn handed him a document.

"The board voted to remove you last year."

He stared.

"What?"

"They planned to replace you with Martin Vale."

Evan's face hardened.

"Why?"

"Because Martin was easier to control."

Naomi looked at Evelyn.

"Then why did you let him stay?"

"I didn't."

She smiled.

"That was the final part of the plan."

Naomi realized.

"Martin believed he was controlling the company."

"He was only being watched."

"By you?"

"By Michael."

Michael nodded.

"I spent years gathering evidence."

He handed Naomi a drive.

"This contains everything."

Naomi looked at it.

"Everything?"

"Every transaction."

"Every name?"

"Every name."

"Then why wait?"

Michael looked at her.

"Because Eleanor wanted you to choose what happened next."

Naomi stared.

"She didn't want revenge."

"No."

"What did she want?"

Michael smiled.

"She wanted the truth to belong to you."

Naomi looked at Evan.

Then at the documents.

For years, she had imagined wealth as the answer to everything.

Now she understood that money could also become a prison.

She could take the fortune.

She could destroy the Carrington empire.

She could expose everyone.

Or she could rebuild the company according to her grandmother's original vision.

But she didn't want to make that decision alone.

She turned toward Evan.

"What do you want?"

He looked surprised.

"Me?"

"Yes."

He thought for a long moment.

"I want to undo what my family did."

Naomi nodded.

"Even if it costs you everything?"

"Yes."

Michael smiled.

"Then perhaps Eleanor was right."

Naomi looked at him.

"About what?"

"That the truth needed two people."

Suddenly, a car screeched outside.

Thomas ran toward the window.

"Someone's here."

A black SUV stopped beside the station.

Several men stepped out.

Evelyn looked calm.

"They came sooner than I expected."

Naomi's heart raced.

"Who?"

Evelyn looked at her.

"People who don't want the company exposed."

Michael grabbed the documents.

"We need to leave."

They rushed toward the opposite platform.

But before they reached the exit, a voice echoed through the station.

"Mrs. Carrington."

Everyone stopped.

Martin Vale stepped into the station.

He had escaped custody.

His clothes were soaked.

His face was furious.

"You should have stayed dead."

Evelyn looked at him.

"I was never dead."

Martin raised a gun.

Naomi stepped forward.

"Martin."

He looked at her.

"You ruined everything."

"No."

Naomi shook her head.

"You did."

Martin raised the weapon.

Evan moved in front of Naomi.

A shot rang through the station.

People screamed.

Evan fell.

Naomi caught him.

"Evan!"

He looked at her.

"I'm okay."

Blood appeared on his shoulder.

Martin turned toward the exit.

Police sirens sounded outside.

Michael looked at Naomi.

"The evidence is safe."

Martin stopped.

"What?"

Michael smiled.

"I sent copies."

Martin's face collapsed.

"You..."

Police entered.

Martin was arrested.

Naomi knelt beside Evan.

He smiled weakly.

"Looks like I finally did something useful."

She shook her head.

"You don't have to prove anything."

He looked at her.

"I know."

Evelyn watched them.

A faint smile appeared on her face.

For the first time in decades, the two families were standing together.

But the story was not finished.

Because Naomi still had one decision to make.

What would she do with everything her grandmother had left behind?
