The desert sun beat down unforgivingly on the isolated stretch of asphalt. Inside the matte black cabin of the heavy semi-truck, Special Agent Carter sat in perfectly air-conditioned calm. He wore a simple black jacket and dark jeans, looking every bit the exhausted, solitary trucker. But hidden beneath the dark fabric was a heavy gold FBI badge, and wired discreetly beneath his collar was a live microphone streaming directly to a tactical team stationed out of sight. He watched the rearview mirror as the flashing red and blue lights of a local patrol cruiser pulled up close behind his rig. The trap was set.

Officer Miller approached the massive truck, his face flushed from both the searing heat and his own arrogance. He was a corrupt cop who had spent years treating this remote highway as his personal ATM, bullying out-of-town drivers who he assumed couldn't fight back. Miller grabbed the side of the truck's door, leaning his heavy, stocky frame forward, and pointed a hostile finger directly at Carter.
