On March 8, the Kremlin said Russia remains open to negotiations with the United States, emphasizing that dialogue serves the interests of the Russian Federation and is conducted on a direct basis.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia continues to maintain openness toward talks with Washington, as such dialogue aligns with the country’s national interests.
In an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin of the news program “Vesti,” Peskov noted that there are differences in the way the United States approaches dialogue with Iran compared to Russia.

According to him, U.S. representatives such as Stephen Witkoff and Jared Kushner have previously communicated with Iran through intermediary channels, whereas Russia and the United States conduct their exchanges directly.
The Kremlin spokesperson emphasized that Russia carefully considers all aspects of issues related to dialogue while maintaining its readiness to engage in negotiations.
