Back in the corner, Elena resumed her workout. The rhythmic sound of her gloves hitting the bag
restarted.
Slowly, the rest of the gym came back to life. But the atmosphere had irrevocably changed. The
loud bravado was gone, replaced by a focused, respectful hum of hard work.
As Elena finished her session and packed her bag to leave, she noticed something. The other
fighters in the gym didn't stare or whisper. As she walked past them toward the exit, several of
the hardened regulars stopped their drills, caught her eye, and gave a small, solemn nod.
She nodded back. The Iron Den was a place where respect was earned, not demanded. And in
exactly six seconds, she had earned all of it.
