She was trying to create a reason to take control of my property.
The Gasoline
The Saturday morning incident was supposed to be her final move.
At least, that's what I believe now.
Vivian had entered my property using an emergency access credential.
She carried gasoline.
She walked directly to my pool.
And she poured it into the water.
When I confronted her, she claimed it was an inspection.
I asked her to explain the gasoline.
She couldn't.
The cameras captured everything.
Her face.
The red can.
The time.
The gate entry.
Her statements.
Every movement.
When the police arrived, Vivian immediately changed her story.
She approached Officer Elena Ramirez.
“This homeowner became aggressive during a routine safety inspection.”
Officer Ramirez looked at the pool.
Then the gasoline can.
“What were you inspecting?”
“The pool.”
“With fuel?”
Vivian hesitated.
“The container was mislabeled.”
Fire Captain Robert Miles examined the situation.
“The label says gasoline,” he said.
“The smell says gasoline.”
