Maya thought about it.

She placed her bag down.
Then she stepped onto the mat.
Her feet settled.
Left foot forward.
Right heel light.
Knees relaxed.
Hands naturally positioned.
Adrian stopped.
He stared.

She walked over.
The young woman looked nervous.
"Did I do something wrong?"
Maya smiled.
"No."
She looked at the girl's feet.
"Actually, you did something very right."
The girl smiled.
"Really?"
"Really."
Across the room, Marcus looked at Leo.
Leo smiled.

Maya looked at the young woman.
"What brought you here?"
The girl hesitated.
"I want to become stronger."
Maya nodded.
"You will."

The girl laughed.
